What a lovely idea:
"I'm going to send a gift (my choice, but tailored to the recipient) to the first 3 people who comment here and post this message in their own blogs.
Whatever the gift is, I promise I will get it to you by the end of this calendar year. It'll be a physical object, so I'll need your postal mail address if I don't have it. You may leave a separate comment with your address, and delete it immediately (so only I will have a copy of the comment in my inbox).
The only thing you need to do to receive your gift is participate. Be one of the first 3 to reply to this, and post a similar offer on your blog. "
The 3 recipients will get something nice and possibly shiny.
(what's the betting I don't get any replies...) |

With slight trepidation I return to my own little blog world a few days early. I was planning a glorious return on Thursday... along with the Spice Girls so to speak. However this must be brought to your attention.
High School Musical just got better.
I personally didn't think it possible. It's entirely shit, oh yes; however entirely marvellous at the same time. But how could they improve on shit perfection.

Oh yes!
I give you HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL - THE ICE TOUR

Can't really say much else can I.
Except that it is touring the UK in December and January (also like the Spice Girls). |

So... I read about Brittany and Abigail Hensel in 'Closer magazine this week and thought that they were pretty amazing. Then, I watched their documentary on channel 5 tonight and realised that they really genuinely are amazing girls, with such great self belief and what seems like a genuinely good live.

Whilst driving thier car, after getting their licenses on their 16th birthday, the girls let the world into their beauty secrets.
1. Always wear nice pants with a nice t-shirt, never been seen in nice pants without a nice tshirt or shirt.
2. Do your hair every day. Don't just pull it up into a ponytail.
3. Don't wear black with brown.
I think you'll agree that all three beauty secrets are very important and if we stringently follow them we will always look our best.
Brittany and Abigail, I salute you! |

Here's Jo looking rather serious, not nearly as serious as she was on gmtv the other day... click here to watch it it's really not a pleasant interview to watch. That is a very broken girl.
But anyway, I was listening to S Club... as you do, and the B-Side to You're My Number One/Two In A Million randomly came on. I thought the lyrics were apt.
Where do you wanna go, when your life's in a mess? Where do you wanna be, when your brain's under stress? Be what you can be, cause you can impress, Down at Club S! (Club S, yeah!)
Take a ticket to your life and fly far from home, You can take a chance, you won't be alone. Be what you can be, cause you can impress. Down at Club S!
C-L-U-B, place you want to be C-L-U-B, place you want to be C-L-U-B, place you want to be
Where do you wanna be, if you feel like a star? We'll take you all the way, no matter how far. There's a method in the madness, never the less, Down at Club S!
Where do you wanna be, where words can't express? Everybody knows that life can depress. Come on to the place where you can impress, Down at Club S! Yeah!
It pretty much seems to me that all she has to do is go down to Club S, and everything will be fine
Time to get the band together again? I don't think anyone's overly busy really, Hannah's got something coming up on itv but that's about it. It'll bomb as soon as Doctor Who comes back on anyway.
Come on Jo, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and belt out some disco stompers.
Here they are auditioning replacements for Paul.

I received by far the best thing I have ever got free with a magazine today. Yes, even better than my popstar sellotape featuring Britney Spears and Ben from A1.
It's the OKTV! Peter and Jordan - All About Us dvd.
If you haven't already picked it up, you MUST rush out to your nearest retailer tomorrow and pick one up. This is by far the best dvd I have watched all year, and I genuinely think it would be the thing you should be watching on Christmas day when there is shit else on.
Have you ever wondered what Harvey sounds like when he talks? Look out for such wonderful gems as "HALLO" and "CUDDLE" He also has this lovely little scene where he's climbing around on a sun lounger.
However, quote of the dvd must go to Katie and Peter's manager. Whilst discussing the recent photoshoot featuring the little airplanes she had this to say:
"trying to do a picture with harvey and junior and the two of them, pete's always moving, always wiggling his leg or his hand. Harvey wants to hit Junior, Junior just wants to smile and play"
They really are wonderful, you have to make sure you make it to the end, purely to witness Katie pushing Peter's chair over and making him land in the sea! Oh yes! |

| | Janet Jackson - Together Again | ] | So yes, I know I've been neglecting things recently, but what with deciding not to go to Africa, working all hours and spending as much time with the Winkleman as physically possible (seeing her for the first time right now might I add) I've not had a lot of spare time really.
Today was kinda shit: lost another £60 on the tills, had a old man fall and crack his head in the car park, had a customer complaining to me that one of my operators was stinking of alcohol and the one guy that I wanted to employ cause he was hot when he handed his application in turned out to be not as hot today. So yeah.
But but but, I have a day off tomorrow. And ho boy am I excited. Staying in bed is going to be fabulous, it really, really is.
Now, onto what I was actually coming on here to tell you all about today...
I spotted this on tv last night:

And something clicked in the back of my mind. A little memory from my childhood that I had long locked away and of course I had to trawl through the internet to find out exactly what it was.
and... it was this little fellow (SIMILAR HAIR MIGHT I ADD).

Back in 1991 Sega released this little ditty for the Sega Master System. Zone 2 was called The Bridge Zone and it had a nice little tune that played as your favourite little blue hedgehog zoomed across the screen.

Have a listen to it, then click on one of your options below and compare it to Ms. Jackson's 1997 single. If she perhaps a fan of that hedgehog?

In computer game related fun, does anyone remember these two?

Banjo and Kazooie made a couple of games for the n64 a few years back, they really were fantastic little adventure games; however the one thing that stuck out to me with them was the theme tune. It's just so quirky and exciting. Here's a little special treat I've found though, in keeping with the whole seasonal theme for winter...

Give it a go honest, it's fun.
If you like either of these you might want to have a look at this website (where I'm linking the the midi files). It's literally got thousands of computer game song files from past and present. VGMusic

Picture the scene:
Eurovision night 2003.
Penny and Martin laying her bed, lashings of Ribena, having already witnessed Alf Poier's glorious song about noodles, Setab's obvious winning song early on, Lou singing about being happy and gay, t.A.T.u. running up and down their little hills and Jemini's unfortune we were ready for something... bated breath, something of true eurovison legacy.
Enter BELGIUM.

It genuinely is in a made up language, it has no meaning whatsoever. It did however have a dance routine. This routine formed the building blokcs on which our almost mythical dance is built. The number of people we have encountered over the last few years that know the dance is phenomenal. In fact there was one evening where we staged an imprmptu Macarena style group in the center of a nightclub with every other person on the dancefloor joining in.
I think the reason that the dance so very very amazing is two fold:
1) It is simply referred to as "The Dance" 2) It works to ANY song.
Wow.
I can go one better.

| | Sister Sledge - He's the Greatest Dancer | ] | In order to move forward with our lives we sometimes have to look to the past.
In a celebration of my hundreth (and seventh) post I give you the past.
1 I need something else to get me through this semi-charmed kind of life... 2 Let's Go Eskimo... 3 You don't seem to know, seem to care, what you're heart is for... 4 Not the kind you take for granted, not good at second chances... 5 I had to escape, the city was sticky and cruel... 6 Swing It, Shake It, Move It, Make It... 7 Dancing on the kitchen tiles... It's all about you... 8 Mutya Mutya Mutya She's the Queen of them all... 9 Nothing you confess could make me love you less... 10 Bound and broken on the floor... 11 take a look at me now, there's just an empty space... 12 Losing my religion... 13 Try to set the night on fi-er... 14 Waiting for a star to fall... 15 every now and then I fall apart... 16 caught in a fairly extra-ordingary world that's in motion 17 Shoulda Coulda Woulda means I'm out of time... 18 Slap my bitch up... one more time... 19 You scumbag you maggot... 20 I wont be hasty, I'll give you a try... 21 That's not the shape of my heart... 22 and you know you can sing, and you'd so anything... 23 I will be there til this world stops turning... 24 After my picture fades and darkness has turned to grey... 25 Just when I needed it most, you showed me the meaning of love... 26 And time will pass me by, maybe I'll never learn to smile... 27 somewhere baby, i know you're waiting the city's vibrating... 28 buh duh buh bye-a... 29 Slamming It To The Left... 30 My love for you... is deep and meaningless. 31 i'm coming out of my cage and i'm doing just fine... 32 I'm not the kind of man who gives up just like that... 33 When the river was deep, I didn't falter... 34 Don't want you, you're almost like a bad haircut that wont grow out... 35 I don't wanna hear, I don't wanna know... 36 Whenever I breathe, you're on my mind.... 37 Suddenly the papa came, and then the mama came... 38 Please, make it good, make it good, somehow... 39 It's a good thing tears never show in the pouring rain... 40 Can you truely love a woman? W.O.M.A.N.... 41 Threw away my old clothes, got myself a better wardrobe... 42 untitled 43 First of all you wanna hold me, baby, then you hot and cold me... 44 something chews me up, and spits me out... 45 Hiding in estrogen and wearing aubergine dreams... 46 i'm damned if i do, and i'm damned if i don't.. 47 Well she's not bleeding on the ballroom floor just for the attention... 48 you've got to speed it up, and then you've got to slow it down... 49 dancing to electrpop like a robot from 1984... 50 I'm your toy, your 20th century boy... 51 lucky I have strong legs like my mother... 52 I look around my life, and all I see is a lack of faith... 53 take my shoes off, and throw them in the lake... 54 Cyndi lauper jackson simon le bon I put eurythmics on poppin’ and lockin’ in 55 ...the magic numbers in front of me 56 all of the memories so close to me just fade away... 57 get out of the rain... 58 even an angel can end up falling... 59 ... it's coming at me through the trees 60 I like drummers baby, you're not my bag... 61 untitled 62 just sit back and relapse again... 63 to the middle of my frustrated fears... 64 does anyone care? does anyone care? does anyone care? 65 the time has come to galvanise... 66 i hope you had the time of your life... 67 untitled 68 You've turned me around I can't let you go I'll make you see we're... 69 I'm done with it, and i'm over it, and i'm through with it... 70 love will tear us apart........again 71 when a photograph is all you have left... 72 no, I wont be afraid... 73 This used to be my playground... 74 I am helpless sometimes, wishing's just no good 75 You keep on pushing my love over the borderline... 76 I've got the greenlight to do whatever I want... 77 What's that coming over the hill? 78 gotta slow it down baby, gotta have some fun... 79 I've been faintly reminiscing... 80 Time will pass me by, maybe i'll never learn to smile...
